Most people would tell you to spend the night in Wengen, Murren, or Grindewald rather than Interlaken when staying in the Berner Oberland region.
Is it too much? Perhaps for some people, but for a train enthusiast, I don't think so. You don't have any one night stays, so it's not one of those crazy itineraries we sometimes see.

Netiher Tirano nor Chur are places where I would stay more than a few hrs.
The lakes between Milan Malpensa airport and Tirano are beautiful and full of flowers in mid March. I wouldn't bypass them via Milano Centrale..
What about a trip llike this::
Direct train from Milan Malpensa airport to Lugano (journey time 1 1/2 hrs, trains every hr).
2 nights in Lugano: enjoy the lake, the cog wheel train to viewpoint Monte Generoso (1600m, panorama to mont Blanc-Matterhorn-Bernina, Lake Maggiore, Lake Lugano Lake Como and others), the medieval frescoes in the churches and the 3 medieval castles (Unesco site) at Bellinzona nearby.
Direct bus Lugano - Tirano and connecting BERNINA EXPRESS to Pontresina ar 15.51
2 nights at Pontresina or nearby St. Moritz, Samedan, Celerina, Sils Maria, etc.
GLACIER EXPRESS to Zermatt (3 nights)
Zermatt dp 7.52 - GLACIER EXPRESS - Brig - scennig train LOETSCHBERGER - Thun ar 11.00, dp 11.40 - Lake Thun boat (wirth board restaurant) to Interlaken ar 13.50, 2 nights (may be at Wengen nearby).
Interlaken dp 9.08 by direct GOLDEN PASS traiin to Montreux ar 12.20, 2 nights
Montreux dp 17.48 - Zurich airport ar 20.51
