Stu
Can you recommend a hotel in Paris for me for about $150-175 for my husband and I close to metro and in a good area. I don't know where to begin. I don't care if it is small. Just want air cond. and a pretty decent location close to cafés and a few shops or market.
Thank you so much in advance.

Nope - we mostly stay in apartments while in Paris. However, we're doing a one-nighter here in June.

It is near the Luxembourg Garden.

Stu - Thank you so much for sharing this very helpful resource! We printed out this and your longer version for our drive through Tuscany in fall 2014 and it made a big difference to the enjoyment of our trip. Level of detail is amazing! Can't wait to go back and see more...

I wish I had known you did a travel guide for Tuscany. I've only been to Europe once and we spent 11 days in Val d' Orcia. We loved it but we did spend some time lost and confused.
I have two of your France guides. What other guides do you have?
Thanks.

Hi Stu,
I posted this in one other place in hopes you'd see it. I sent you an email on Feb. 3 about your trip update and didn't get a response yet. Kindly check your spam folder for donna f rhody at gmail dot com (no spaces). Thanks.

Because of Shutterfly "enhancements", the link above to the book about Verona, Bologna, and Tuscany - no longer works. Here is another link:

Click on "full screen"
However, because of other Shutterfly enhancements, many of the titles & captions are missing or truncated.

Amazing post, Stu! I've read alot posts on driving thru Tuscany - but few offer the kind of juicy details like you've added here (I particularly like those recommendations on scenic dirt roads - stuff even the best travel guides rarely offer). Any Tuscany updates since you last published? Here's one I came across: monks at Sant’ Antimo Abbey no longer chant at the Abbey. Too bad, as their song used to be one of my favorite experiences in the area.
