Scavi Tour

I got an auto acknowledgment about my request for the above on June 26. I requested any day from October 4 - 7. I havne't received a reservation.

Anyone have experience with them as to when I can expect a reservation or when I should just give up on it?

Never give up! My understanding is if you don't hear back before departure you should check with your hotel upon arrival in the event they were notified about your reservation instead of you. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong! I'm waiting to hear back, too.

Uh oh. That is why they wanted my hotel info. However, I am staying at an apartment. Darn.

I guess I'll just cross my fingers.

We went on the scavi tour in March 2006. I asked for tickets about 6 months in advance and like you received an automated reply.

About a month before our visit we received a confirmation of our tickets. We also were staying in an apartment.

So, don't give up hope. Just wait patiently and you will probably hear from them in a few weeks.

There have been numerous threads on this where people have listed how long they waited or how soon before their date they got their reservation. If you want you can search "Scavi Tour" and you'll find lots of personal examples. I've forgotten but it seems I waited about four or five months before getting mine about a month before going.
