San Sebastian: what month, how many days

If you could go anytime of the year - when would you go and for how long?

Any time from the early spring to early winter and stay as long as you can so you can explore the region of Green Spain and southwest France.

June, July and September!. Great weather and not crowded like in August.I think 3 days are enough to explore San Sebastian, but will need more if you want to visit other village in the coast or France.

You can explore the town of San Sebastian in three days but you can't possibly do justice to its food in three!

15th of August (during that week) is the "Semana Grande" (the biggest festival of the city), sure it is crowded, but maybe you would like to enjoy it ... open air free music concerts, big fireworks..I liked it

I was there in the first week of October in 2004. No tourist (except us, of course - ha!). The weather was gorgeous, and the tapas bars and restaurants were exceptional. There was never too much of a crowd to enjoy it.

We were there for 3 days during our trip to SW France. Take some time to see St. Jean de Luz just on the other side of the border.

I guess any time of the year is great except summer.
