San Lorenzo Apartments Florence

Anyone have any experience with the San Lorenzo apartments in Florence found through sleepinginitaly. The owner is Gianna Galeota and she seems very prompt with emails. However I can find no reviews about her the apartments.

Have you checked with Slow Travel? They have a wealth of information on apartment rentals in Italy. I bet someone could help you .

Hi Benjy. We rented the Lepri apartment at San Lorenzo from Gianna in July and everything was great. The location and price were perfect. I did a lengthy review at slowtrav.com.

Feel free to ask if you have any specific questions.

Hi Statia: I did contact them because of your review on Slow Trav. In fact I believe we have rented the same apartment in Venice from Denise and Venice Rentals (San Aponal)....I just could not come up with any other confirmations about this apartment and owner in Florence. I think I will go with it. This is a last minute trip and we leave end of September. Many thanks.

No problem, Benjy. We enjoyed the apartment and would rent it again. Just make sure you're in shape for the 70 steps up! If you're going with Lepri, that is.

One word of advice regarding the loft bedroom. We opted to make up the futon and sleep in the living room and were perfectly happy there....even my tall husband. The A/C blew cooler there and we didn't have to navigate the stairs at night for the restroom or kitchen, if need be. If you can't find the instructions for the futon, they could possibly still be on top of the bookcase in the living room....ha.

Yes, we did rent the San Aponal apartment and loved that one, as well. Especially the terrace.

Have a great trip!
