Sailing in Croatia
A group of 8 of us are planning a week on a bareboat in Croatia in late Sept 2007. We'll be flying out of SFO and are looking for tips if you have any. Specifically - best or cheapest way to get there; what else to see in the area (we may get to northern Italy - Venice maybe --); better to get ourselves to Europe and find a flight to DBV or Split or just look straight from SFO??? Thx in advance.

Hey Clipper...have you come across any reputable companies that are crewed and combine people? I'm heading to Croatia looking for about a week on a boat in mid-Sept, but am solo (and other than being a good deckhand, don't know how to sail).

Sorry YankDownUnder, our captain usually arranges our boat and we go along, though we're not the best sailors, we do jump when told to. We've decided to go with Sunsail since we've used them before. Wishing you good luck finding a spot!

We help run a crewed boat out of Dubrovnik and also have romms in an apartment in the old town. Have a look at www.sailcroatia.co.uk if you like what you see send us a note and we can try to match up like minded travelers.
