safe to book airport shuttle online?
I might just be paranoid, but...
I would like to book airport shuttle service on line, but the website does not appear to be secure--i.e. no "https" or little padlock on web browser window. Has anyone else encountered this problem? Does any one know for sure that the following website is secure?

When my husband and I were in Paris in June, we had reserved the airport shuttle from home. We only reserved from our hotel TO CDG because we had a car the first half of the vacation. Anyway, we reconfirmed the reservation from Paris and paid for the trip once we were taken to CDG for our return trip home. We did not pay beforehand. Maybe that has changed since then. So no problem if it is not a secure sight. www.paris-anglo.com/clients/ashuttle/html

We've used the Paris Airport Shuttle two times... Made the reservation for CDG-hotel by phone from U.S. No payment needed in advance. Made the return reservation 3 days from departure day, again no pmt. in advance required. Little anecdote: all their information states they accept credit cards, however when we were dropped off at CDG, the driver did not have the imprinter machine to complete the charge slip, and told me to pay in cash. I told him I didn't have any francs left, and expected to pay with Visa. He said he didn't have the machine, I said 'sorry, that's not my problem'. He quickly got a supervisor on his cellphone, and he took my Visa information over the phone - problem solved. Just a little 'quirk'...would definitely use them next time.

We booked the CDG airport shuttle right from home without a hitch...other than the peculiarities of finding our way out of CDG! What a crummy airport! But the shuttle driver could not have been nicer or more helpful. We paid cash to the driver, incidentally. Saves a lot of hassle and worries about Internet security of your charge card numbers.

Here's the U.S. phone number:
1.888.426.2705. I paid in advance using my charge card, just because I wanted one less detail to worry with.
When you arrive, call 0.800.505.610 (no coin needed) before claiming baggage, and they'll be there shortly. Great service!

Hi Kathy, I was in Paris last month and booked the Airport Shuttle and several other things thru cometoparis.com. The shuttle I paid in cash (there are ATM's at the Airport) and the others thru my VISA. I had no problems. Make sure that you call the 800 number for the shuttle before you pick up your bags. They know which phone you'r dialing from and will tell you wich door to go out and will meet you there.

Another service that I have run across promoted by Parisanglo.com is a private airport pickup and Paris tours can be found at:

I would be interested to know if anyone has used this service and any comments. I have been impressed that paris-anglo.com would only recommend reliable companies. The price is very competitive and looks much more personal than the shuttle.
Hope this helps.
