regarding walking and running on cobblestones, turns out it's a good thing!

Having done a bit of running in Rome and also Tuscany, I can tell you your biggest issue will be Italians staring at you as if you are 1) crazy or 2) running away from something! And they probably have the right idea, although it was the only way I could continue to enjoy my vino and assorted Italian goodies Get a very early morning start to beat the heat and be prepared to be quite an entertainment factor!
