Could anyone answer a trivia question for me? Who is a famous female from Edinburgh, you might "bump" into on the Royal Mile in front of Mary Kings Close?

A good pal has an office in the High Street near the Exchange. Could it be his ex-wife? (Shudders.)

Does anyone know if there is a statue or something on the street? If you are into trivia, you probably have seen a picture of this person! That is the only hints I have? I would really appreciate the help. Thanks!

I did the Mary Kings Close tour a couple years back, and the only ghost I recall is that of a young girl - Annie. If I remember correctly, she was supposed to have died of starvation etc. after her mother died of the plague and she was left alone.

There's a room in one of the houses where people leave small toys and money for the girl where she is said to be seen. But, one wouldn't expect to meet her on the actual Royal Mile (i.e. not what is today the open street).

but that's only based on Googling.

I'd like to know what the answer is, once you find out, please?

I can only think it must be a statue, but can't think of any statues of women on the Royal Mile.
