Ronda Day Trip from Sevilla - private guide?

In planning our upcoming trip to Andalucia in late Feb '24, we are considering taking a DAY TRIP from Sevilla to Ronda and want to explore options. Any recommendations for a good guide to use for a day trip from Sevilla? I've read some reviews about some not-so-great outfits that make too many stops, so we are thinking about simply going by ourselves w/ a driver/guide and going to Ronda, having lunch, etc., with a possible stop in one of the towns. Thank you!

The small group tours from Sevilla to Ronda do make lots of stops and get to Ronda at the end of the day.
Naturanda is one company, based in Sevilla. The participants first go to an olive mill for tasting, then to Zahara de la Sierra, on to Grazalema for lunch. After lunch in Grazalema, they move on to Ronda, where they are on their own to explore.
The excursion takes 10 hours.

I´ve used Roger Davies of A Question of Taste from sherry and horse ballet tours to Jerez de la Frontera from Sevilla and he does a wine tour, not a general tour, to Ronda, but I´ve never used his company for the Ronda excursion. He also does ham tours, cheese tours, olive oil tours, etc.

I would ask your hotel concierge to recommend a private guide that could take you on a day trip to Ronda, if you prefer to go that route.

The difficulty with going through the La Pileta cave on a day trip from Sevilla is that it’s not in Ronda but instead outside of Benaoján, a 30 min drive from Ronda to the parking lot, then a climb, of course, but not a hard one as there is a staircase with railing, and one must go on a guided tour with appointment in advance with a member of the family whose ancestor discovered it.
That takes time away from everything else you may want to see. I’ve written about my experience in the cave here on the forum.
But the tour with lanterns is fascinating. On our day there were only a few in our group and all who spoke English, so the gentleman guide did it in English. He moves fast and the floor is wet and slippery and we dressed warmly.

If you choose to only vist Ronda you can go by bus from Sevilla to Ronda. On weekdays Damas has 4 daily departures. First bus departs from Sevilla about 9 AM and last bus departs from Ronda at 6:30 PM. A one way ticket is about 15 Euro. You can buy the tickets one line in advance. You will have enough time to have lunch and see the main sights. If you have the time I recommend to stay a night or two in Rhonda.
