Rome touring video

Well, we are at it again. I've posted a couple of full-length video tours on Rome on the Vimeo site. These are two of the six we are doing, and yes, this time they are actually getting done in a reasonable amount of time. The other four are in editing now and should be available on Vimeo in a month or two.

For those unaware of Vimeo, it is kind of like an HD version of YouTube.

Be aware that these are VERY large files and the best way to watch them is when the initial screen appears click on the PLAY button, then immediately click PAUSE. Wait about 5-10 minutes before hitting PLAY again, this allows Vimeo to download enough of a video buffer to your computer so you can watch the entire video without those start-stop things that often happens in downloaded video clips.

The first video - The Agony and the Ecstasy Tour is about 40 minutes long

The second video - The Time Tunnel Tour is about 33 minutes long

Enjoy and feel free to critique these as much as you want. While these are final "draft" copies of our upcoming series, they are by no means the final product, so your comments are appreciated.

Just viewed the second video. Also excellent. Can't wait for more. Also can't believe no one else has seen/commented on these.

We have slowed down the tempo from original version and did major pronunciation corrections. Do you find it okay? Are we giving too much information, too little? Are the video cuts too fast or appropriate?

These are the kinds of things we are looking for.

Thanks

Hi again,

I just added the 3rd tour of six. I'm finalizing Tour 4 now, should be up in about 2 weeks. Remember, these are very large files on Vimeo. Best way to watch (unless you have REALLY fast internet) is to press the PLAY arrow then immediately press the PAUSE. This will tell Vimeo to begin downloading to your computer. Wait about 5-10 minutes to play, so enough of the file is buffered to allow you to watch uninterrupted...
