Rome site sopen Nov. 1?
Hello Everyone,
We will be in Rome from October 28 afternoon and flying home Monday 11/2.
What do you think will be open on Nov. 1, with it being a holiday?
Thank you,
Michele

Hi Michele,
I remember the city thronged with Italians enjoying the holiday and it seemed that much of everything we planned on seeing was open but just not sure if we went into any museums. Just check in any good guidebook for posting of closings for that day for the particular things you wanted to see or do.

Hi lowcountrycarol,
Thank you. My Frommers guidebook just says that shops and most restaurants are closed and lodging is difficult to find, as we have found out, but nothing about tourist attractions being closed. Maybe we will need to check with the nuns at the convent when we arrive and then plan accordingly.
Has anyone else ever been in Rome on Nov. 1?
Thank you,
Michele
