Rome red district

There is a area in Rome where hookers are waking the streets looking for action. I cant remember where that is, can anyone help?

I'll give you a clue - the street is named after the guy who discovered America. An Italian funded by Spain. You can also find them near the Vatican!

"Waking the streets" -- are these women mourning for the dead or just wakening up the streets in the morning waiting for people to come out? If they're mourning, maybe they would be better off in a church.
