Could someone please tell me how to get from Rome Termini to the Jewish Ghetto?
How far is it? - Can we walk?
Is there a metro nearby, and if so, can you please tell me which line and stop to get off?

There is no metro stop nearby. You can take a bus from Termini station to Largo Argentina. Cross the road and walk down Via Arenula a little distance and then turn left. There are several buses that follow this route; among them the 64 and the 40.

Keith aka Salt and I walked from our hotel, St. Regis Grand, which is across Piazza Repubblica from Termini, to Largo Argentina. We fed the crazy, kooky cats there.

We walked right down Via Nazionale.

We walked through the ghetto and then went over to Piazza Navona.

You can take the Blue Line B Metro from Termini to Circo Massimo and walk down Via Circo Massimo to Ponte Palatino.

From Colosseo Metro, it is 1.4 km walk to the Turtle Fountain, Piazza Mattei. That's the closest Metro stop to the Piazza Mattei, a central point in the Ghetto. Circo Massimo stop is a tiny bit farther.

If you have time you can walk. It is downhill - head down Via Cavour then along Via dei Fori Imperiali, across Piazza Venezia and down Via del Teatro Marcello toward Teatro Macello and they walk inside the Portico of Octavia. You get a blend of ancient Roman history at the same time.
If your time is short, then Bvlenci's directions are the ones I would follow.

If you are bringing luggage and going to your hotel, I'd get a taxi. Rome is confusing for first-timers and taxis aren't all that expensive.

If you have luggage, take a taxi. I can't see the cost being more than 15 €.

It would be wise to get a map, study it before you leave and carry it with you when you are there.

If you have luggage, a bus would be much more convenient than the metro, but I agree that a taxi would be best. It shouldn't cost more than €10, unless it's late at night or on a Sunday or holiday, in which case, it could be a € or two more.
