Dear Girlspytravel:
In regard to the Esquilino area...is there a fitness center in this area?

Please advise.

Thanks

I am so glad you found my information useful. Please send hello to Lorenza from me.
I forgot to mention that Via Trastev ere, perdendicular to Via de la Lungaretta is the main arterie in the area, a tram runs along it. As Lorenza or the other girl where the laundry matt is, it is not expensive for Rome. They have great restaurants information too.
hve fun, take care, remember that Europe is under asault by many pickpocketers.

Tram #8 is the one that runs along Viale di Trastevere, all the way to Largo Argentina. We took it to and from the Stazione Trastevere with luggage and were warned repeatedly to watch out for pick pockets, so it is obviously important to stay alert.

Graziella, sure I will send you an email when we get back, and we'll be sure to say hi to Lorenza from you. Did you have any trouble with pickpocketers? I've seen many posts about how they are getting worse - but honestly we have never had a problem in our few trips to Europe. I hope this trip is the same!
