MaureenB - Have you stayed there? Would you stay there again?

No, sorry, I haven't stayed there. It is very inexpensive, and gets good reviews, though. We considered it, but stayed at the Domus Julia, where our twin room last May was about 170 EUR w/breakfast. If you search the Panda on this Forum, I think you'll find people who liked it.

There are several convents that might fulfill your criteria, but you would need to reserve quickly.

Ciao

Our next door neighbours stayed at the Panda a couple of years ago. They were very satisfied with it and the location is excellent. In fact options for that location and price range is rare.

Hi

I stayed at the Hotel Arena near the Collosseum in June 2006.

www.arenahouse.com

It was 80Euro per nite.

It was safe, clean, had a computer in the room with free internet and was easy to get to Metro and was probably 3mins walk from the Collosseum.

It is in a residential neighbourhood, and the owners were friendly. I think there are reviews as well on venere.com.

I would stay there again, the room had potent aircon which is a must.

Anton
