rome hotel suggestion

can anyone suggest a hotel in rome. we are there for two nights.. we need a place that has triples or quads and we want a place where we can walk to many/most of the sites. Prefer under $100.00 per person / per night.
thanks

we stayed in the hotel alimandi near the vatican in a quad room. it is not near anything except the vatican, but we felt it was convenient for 2 reasons. 1, it had a free airport shuttle, and 2nd they booked us into a vatican tour, so we did not have to stand in any lines. we just took cabs to go to the various areas around rome and did not feel at all "out" of things
it is a simple hotel, but fine for a family- their sister hotel on the same street is a bit fancier.

The Alimandi was heaven sent after staying at a hotel several blocks from the Termini train station. I stayed in both a single and a double room, and if the quad rooms are anything like the singles or doubles, you won't be disappointed. It's literally accross the street from the Vatican museum entrance and within walking distance of St. Peter's and the subway. Wonderful buffet breakfast, very nice and helpful staff.
