Rome Airport to Eurostar Station
We are landing in Rome at 1:50 PM and need to get to the train station to catch the Eurostar train to Naples at 4:45 PM. Is 3 hours enough time to go thru customs, catch the shuttle from the airport to the train station, get tickets and board the train? Need some advise... thanks!

I'll leave it to people who have experience to answer your question about, but they'll want to know which aiport, Fiumicino or Ciampino.
However, I can tell you one way to save time. Book your ticket in advance at trenitalia.com and choose the ticketless option. Just get on the train. No standing in line at the station.

By shuttle I assume you mean the train from Fiumicino airport to Rome Termini train station, from which the ES trains to Naples depart.
Yes, 3hrs is enough. The train from Fiumicino to Termini is 30min and leaves at about :05 and :35 past the hour.
Trains from Rome to Napeles leave every hour at :45 so if you miss just buy tickets and get on the next ES train headed that way. If yo make the 3:45 great, if not just take the 4:45

Depending on when you travel the eurstar may be very busy and we found luggage storage to be an issue(we had a lot!) for 10 euros more 1st class proved a betteroption for us on our return. Also if you do the ticketless option (which we did and it was very convenient) check that you can change trains if needed.....I thought it was for a specific train and non transferable.

Hi PG,
You have a very high probability of catching the 16:45 train.
If you buy your ticket online, note that it is good for that ES* train only.
Since you will arrive early, the self service cafeteria at Rome TE is a pleasant place to have a cuppa and relax.

You c n buy your ticket to Naples at the airport station when you buy your ticket for the shuttle to Rome. By then you will know if you can make the train you want. Allow plenty of time to find your train at Roma Termini. It is a good 10-minute walk from the shuttle to the other train platforms.

Thanks to all for the tips on the shuttle to the Rome train station. Sounds as if our timing will be OK. One other question if anyone can help... when we arrive in Naples, how best to get to A.C. Ravello and time required?

Hi Papa,
If you are going to Ravello, I suggest that you take the train from Rome to SALERNO. See www.trenitalia.com.
From there, you can take the very scenic ferry route to Amalfi - docks are about 3 blks SW of the station -
OR
Take the SITA bus from the station to Amalfi.
For Ferry schedules Positano – Amalfi - Salerno (P.zza della Concordia):

Enjoy your visit.
