Road Trip - Western Europe over Feb half term.
Hello again
We are planning to do a road trip to western europe - 5 countries (France-Belgium-Holland-Germany-Luxembourg ) starting on the 22nd from UK through to 25th Feb.
21st - Dover - Calais - Dunkirk- Brugge ( 1 night in Brugge )
22nd - Brugge - Rotterdam/Maastricht/Eindhoven (any one ) - Cologne ( 1 night in Cologne )
23rd - Cologne - Luxembourg City - Reims ( 2 nights in Reims )
24th - Champagne Cellar tours
25th - Reims - Calais - UK ( by nightfall )
About 2000km - start to end. Thoughts please..
Looking for suggestions/ideas to stay and see. Family of 4.
Apart from France ( might go to Lille if time permits ) where all do we need the Crit'Air ? Already looking to get a decent satnav and the car kit ( as legally required ).
Thanks all.
Cheers

For Cologne you will need a German Umweltplakette unless you can park outside the centre.
But honestly your trip is insane for February. It's not that sensible any time of year, but when the evenings are still early and the chance of bad weather is a real one all you will see is motorways. You don't say how old your children are but I am pretty sure they will not enjoys hours in a car.
Cut out Benelux and Germany and concentrate on northern France. Add Brugge if you feel you must.
