It's in Hammersmith; along the Thames. Very very good, Italian cooking. Jamie Oliver used to work there. Do make a reservation well in advance. The last time I was there is a few years ago, so can't remember how pricey it was.

A fabulous restaurant, Jamie Oliver worked there as a sous chef, or some lower capacity - he never contributed to the menu. He was never an head chef or executive head chef before his tv fame. His food lacks depth, is naff, and dull. Awful cook. The River Cafe fortunately is unassociated with him, Rose Grey and Ruth Rodgers run a great establishment.

Bring money . . . . .

Not my scene, definitely not a caff. There's a nearby gastropub (with better views of the river BTW) which does a good Sunday roast, though . . .

My husband and I had dinner there several years ago, and I remember that ambience was wonderful and the food was good. A heads up, though. We took the tube out to Hammersmith and walked to the restaurant. The sign for the restaurant was small, and the entrance was on the back side of the building. We walked past the restaurant toward the Thames, turned left, and walked a looong way along the river in the rain before realizing that we had passed it.

Loved the TV show a few years ago, the two ladies had "heart" in their cooking.
