Ribeirasacra -- route into Ourense
Hi, Ribeirasacra,
There's a post going on my "other" forum about whether there is a way to walk into Ourense after leaving Seixalbo on the Via de la Plata.
Since you are a certified "local", would you let me know if you have any iinformation that would help us out on this topic:
http://www.pilgrimage-to-santiago.co...83.html#p32378
Thanks, Laurie
p.s. I'll bring your phone number and give you a call when I approach Ourense in May.

Hi ribeirasacra,
No rush at all, absolutely none. I agree with you that the PM function is a great thing and would streamline some of these threads.
Anyway, really don't go out of your way to find this out, I just wondered if you knew anything about alternatives. I know that a lot of Spanish cities are installing what they call a "camino colesterol" to try to get people out and walking, and riversides tend to be popular choices.
Thanks again, Laurie

I was too drunk to realise ..am I certified? tee hee?
I try not to visit industrial parks if I can help it. But it looks as I need to go to one now.
I will ask more on the other forum near the time I am ready. I need to go to the thermal baths in Ourense soon and this will make a small side trip.
The camino colesterol in the city is in fact along the Rio Miño.

The website for the Concello has recently changed and it is hard to find things.
Plus the tourist website is no longer in English.
The local newspaper is noticing that a lot of websites go not use English and it is hard to find information even in Spanish about a lot of areas in Galicia.
