Rhodes Midpoint Hotel

Hi. A group of 10 of us are looking to spend 2 nights at a minpoint between Lindos and the city of Rhodes. Not too bare bones but not posh either. Recommendations?
Thank you.

The question that comes to me is WHY?? would you want to do that? Lindos is not that far from Rhodos by car or bus. Either stay in town or at a resort out of town on the sea but staying in town will keep you close to most of what you want to see. Lindos can be a day trip or even base there but in between I just don't get it. Sorry

Thanks, this is very helpful. We were thinking of renting a car while on the island or is there such frequent public transportation in between the 2 towns that would not be necessary?

I was staying in Rhodos town and as planned I met up with 2 friends who were on a cruise and staying at a seaside resort on the north east part of the island. They took the bus into town and we rented a car. We drove south along the east coast to Lindos. Walked up to the Fortress and then went for a swim. Then drove down the coast and up the western side. Stopped at a taverna for lunch. Then stopped at Butterfly Valley for a visit and then I dropped them off at their resort and made it back to Rhodos town just as it was starting to get dark. Plenty of time to see a good part of the island in one day. As Greek islands go, the scenery is nice but there are more scenic islands such as Naxos & Karpathos but the highway kept close to the sea most of the time and it was pretty. Not allot to see other than scenery past Lindos. However, towns may have gotten bigger since I was there several years ago.
I think it would be a safe bet that there are regular buses going to Lindos as that is the main tourist attraction outside of Rhodos town.
Would I rent a car again there in hindsight? Maybe, it would depend on how many days you have. We had 5 days so plenty of time to explore the island. If I had 2 days I would stick to Rhodos and Lindos as there is lots to see in Rhodos town to keep you busy.
One interesting thing I discovered by accident was a Turkish cemetary outside the old town walls near the sea. It was very interesting to see the grave markers. It was hidden away and neglected and home to dozens of cats.

I meant to say where I stayed in town. I don't know what it is like today but it was clean and they gave a good negotiated rate on the spot. At the time it was almost full of Swedes and Norwegians on a week long vacation. There were some noisy bars in the area but that may be typical of the whole area. It was in the new town but in easy walking distance of the old town and very close to the seawall on the western side of Rhodos town. I saw the rooms where my friends stayed at the resort and although they had a couple of swimming pools, a beautiful view of the sea and lovely dining room, their actual room was not as nice as mine in town.
