Does anyone know anything about a resturant <BR>called La Taverne du Sergent Recruteur. <BR>It is located at 4l Rue St Louis - en-I'Isle <BR>A freind lived in Paris many years ago and <BR>highly recommended it. One of the long threads on where to eat in Paris mentions this place (the poster had a good time there, as I recall, but said it was touristy). Have you tried searching? I think she reffered to it by its English translation--the Sargeant Recruiter's Tavern. <BR>Sorry to be so vague

martha, good memory! I searched under Sergeant and found it. Two different mentions by the same person in August 98; he liked it very much. Said it was prix fixe, moderate price, historic building, and that the waiters were entertaining. <BR>b, if you need anything from the guidebook let me know. <BR>
