restaurants near the Champs Elysee

two friends willl be in Europe next weekend. They are saying near the Champs Elysee (I told them so but...). They asked me about highend restaurants in this area (they are foodies). I can't help them as this is not my stomping ground. any suggestions??

Although it's on the Champs Elysee, isn't Fouquet still a good place to go? I haven't been to that restaurant in a while but I remember it being sort of a classic place to try. And our meal was very nice!

If you direct them to the Michelin website (www.viamichelin.com) they can get listings, menu summaries, prices etc. of multi-starred restaurants in Paris complete with location map.

We had a fabulous dinner at Fouquet in September. Thier roast chicken, frites and any dessert are great. The people watching was the best! Don't miss this old time Paris treasure.
