We are travling to Venive and ROme in November. We have been to each place 3X. We are looking for these gems that I know are hard to give up. Perhaps little know out of the way places that you really enjoyed.

OK - Gardoz, since you've been 3x, I want your hidden gems in exchange. Two personal favorites:
Ai Mercanti - Venice (near the Bauer). Great food, nice wine (Spegona rose pinot grigio very bizarre).
Santo Padre - Rome (near the St. Regis). Family op, poor decor and great food. No menu but not expensive and they'll make something to order if they have the ingredients. We went there twice during our last stay in September.
