The problem with Capri is that the restaurants tend to be very touristy, so it was a bit of a struggle to find a good local restaurant. Nevertheless I recommend a place called Da Tonino. It is a good 15 minute walk (uphill)from the main square in Capri. However the owner was charming and we had an excellent meal there. The dessert was exceptional !!!

We ate there also, for lunch. We were the only ones there, as I really think it is a "neighborhood" rest. and everyone in the neighborhood was working!! It was one of our best experiences in our 2 week trip. The owner spoke no english, and we spoke VERY LIMITED italian, but we had a GREAT lunch.(it is a steep walk-but oh, the views and the scenery!!) You will love it. Helaine
