I've read many times about the lovely view from the restaurant at the Grand Bretagne Hotel. Excellent food, too.
Also, there's a restaurant at the top of Lycabettus Hill that has an excellent view of the whole city. Comments about the food aren't that positive, but it's a great place to have a drink and watch the sunset after a ride up the hill from the Kolonaki District in a funicular/cable car.

In Sept. 2005, my wife and I and another couple from N.Y.-Fl. dined at Orizontes, the restaurant on Lycabettus Hill in Athens. The views were beyond fantastic. All of us have been fortunate enough to have eaten at many good restaurants in N.Y., Fl. and all over the world for that matter, and on that occasion we all thought that the meal at Orizontes was very good.
