My husband and I, our daughter and her husband stayed in Paris in a 4 star hotel this past Easter for the week-end and paid only $70 a night per room. We booked through Priceline and ended up with deluxe rooms, they even provided bathrobes for us. It was part of the Marriott chain. You might want to try bidding on Priceline.

I've been hearing similar stories from others, and I am curious as to whether you did this far in advance or nearer to last minute. It sounds like a great deal!

Why didn't you post the name of the hotel. And how far in advance you booked. It would be more helpful.

It really doesn't matter what the hotel was--it was a Priceline bid and you can't "apply" for a particular hotel. It was a very helpful post to trying to get an inexpensive hotel room.
