Mavis-
I haven't gone yet but am planning on going in November and wanted to know how the cottages were? Are they clean and about how much for electric and linen? Still planning on staying in Ardmore, but my cousin is now going too.
Do you remember if there is a grocery
store in town?

Lynn,
Ardmore is only a few miles from Youghal which has at least three supermarket. Ardmore itself has a grocery/newsagents.
It's a nice little town, with a lovely strand and a round tower. But there wouldn't be alot else to see there.
Still, you could also use it as a base for touring around Cork/Waterford..
You seem set on Ardmore, although you might consider lovely West Cork, which has more variety to it..If you decide to rethink your plans let me know as I can recommend some places in West Cork..
Jo
