Rental Car Big Enough?

For a two-week trip, one-week rental car period, we have rented a Mercedes A-Class 160 Long with 4 doors. There are 2 of us, and we pack fairly light. I'm thinking we'll have approx. 2 large bags, and 2 small carry-ons. Any reason why you think we couldn't fit that into that model? It appears to be ok based on what I can see from pix on-line.
Thanks ahead.
Lucy

usually the information online will include how many suitcases will fit in the trunk. If that appears to suffice, how much more room do you need?

Is there anyway you can see that model in person (do they sell those at the local dealership?) I have looked at rental car company websites and one company will say that a given model of car holds 2 large bags, while another website says that the same model holds 4.

Hi
Last year we rented a Mercedes A 130 for the two of us. It's very comfortable. If you have 2 large and 2 small bags, the A 160 should be large enough. see if can find a picture of it on line with the luggage capacity. I actually wish they were imported in the US, we really enjoyed it.

Lucy...just a word of warning, you sure don't want anything bigger...bigger is not better in Europe. In my recent tripreport I bemoaned the extra Large Citroen that we had (they had run out of compacts) and maneuvering that monster through the streets and parking garages of Cote d'azur and Provence was difficult to say the least. You didn't say where you would be driving.

Certainly big enough for two. Though of compact size very roomy due to the motor under the body concept. No need to worry - period.
