We will spend 2 weeks in "our flat" in May, the fourth stay in the same flat. We couldn't be happier. It is in the heart of Covent Garden--we are avid theatre goers, so the location is perfect. It is a spacious "loft" type flat with a huge living, dining room and lots of windows, a smallish bedroom with a large bathroom plus a smaller bath with a stall shower and a compact but complete kitchen with shoji screens cutting it off from the rest of the flat. It is about $200 per night, a lot less than a decent hotel in central London. We do it through Farnum and Christ at 1-800-366-2048. I can't imagine staying in London now without that flat.

Roumen- <BR>I returned from London two weeks ago. While there, we stayed in a flat in the Hyde Park area. We rented a flat at the Regency, 2 Hyde Park Square. It was a lovely flat, with one bedroom w/king size bed. Had a nice size living room/dining room area and a fully contained kitchen (stove, convection oven, dishwasher, fridge). It was great. The doorman and staff were very accomodating. I liked the location as well. Just a couple of blocks off Bayswater Road, in between Marble Arch and Notting Hill Gate. Buses were a breeze to catch. Email me if you would like more details. I would definitely recommend a flat over a hotel for a longer stay. It gives you much more freedom and space.

Six of us (three mother and daughter sets) booked a three bedroom flat through The London Connection, phone 44-81-888-393-9120; fax 44-81-801-393-3024, in Queens Gate Gardens, South Kensington, a couple of years ago. It was beautiful, quite close to the Gloucester tube stop, and within walking distance of the V&A Museum, Harrods, and Kensington Palace.
