Recommendations for France Ski Packages??

A group of us (approx 15 people) from Northern California USA would like to look into purchasing ski packages for France for next winter (late Feb, early Mar). We would most appreciate any recommendations that you can provide.

Several years ago my family used www.all-mountain.com for a package trip to Briancon, in the Serre Chevalier ski domaine. I had read about them in the NYT. We were very pleased with their services and had a great trip.

what do you want to do downhill or cross country? With this many a lodge would be a good bet on price. "Chalet" is the european word if not similar to NC.

Chamonix is the place for down hill by the way.

Va D'Isere is a great all round resort with good skiing for all abilities. Be mindful that the 2 middle weeks in Feb are the school holidays and gets very busy in France.
Are you looking for a catered chalet, self catering or a hotel? I have used a couple of companies specialising in the French alps let me know if you want the details.

We would prefer a self-catering chalet. We were hoping for a package that would include air.

Living in the UK as I do, there are many companies that do ski packages all over Europe in the winter months, but they are all based in the UK, and the package prices include flights - but from UK airports.

Unless you can find a company who does packages from the US, you'll have to find your own way to England and take the package from here!

However, as a keen skier myself, I have found it is MUCH cheaper to do it yourself rather than book a package. But this does involve a lot more effort and much time spent googling to find the best deals.

There are many ski companies here in the UK who offer ski package holidays to the US and Canada - flights included, so surely there will be the same sort of option for you?

I agree I always book my accommodation separate from my flights, car hire I too find it much cheaper that way.
