Have you considered renting an apartment? You'd have space to spread out and they are usually less expensive than a hotel.

Thanks for the responses. I am looking for 2 rooms (either 2 triples,or 1 double and 1 quad) or three double rooms. I know an apartment would be more reasonable, but my husband wants a reception area to help us make arrangements and such. I also don't want to clean since I am also on vacation.

Still not clear to me. Is the 350 Euro budget per room or the total for 2/3 rooms??

I would like to spend no more than $350 to $400 per night for all of us. Right now we are booked at the Daphne Inn which is in our price range. We have 2 rooms/2 baths. Just wondering what other options we might have. THANKS

The Daphne Inn has horrible reviews on both tripadvisor.com and letsgo (mostly about moving your room around). I suggest you keep it as a backup and find something better quick. Here are a few:

Try Hotel San Carlo 198 Euro for a triple. Great location and high praise from poster Bookchick.

I believe those horrible reviews mentioned by Bardo1 are a few years old. I can attest that Daphne Inn is the place you want to stay. The owners ELyssa (American ) and Alessandro (Italian) are not only friendly and helpful but go out of their way to make sure your stay and visit to Rome is just what you wanted.

We stayed at the Daphne Inn last spring and loved it. When i go back to Rome I will stay there again. It was very central to everything we wanted to see.Elyssa was very helpful with everything. We stayed in a triple room. It was large and very clean.
