REASONABLE ROOFTOP RESTARAUNT IN ROME

Our family will be in Italy for 2 weeks in May but will only be spending one night in Rome. Can anyone recommend a decent restaraunt with a great view (rooftop?)? The men do not want to bring dress jackets so if possible something not extremely formal.

Thank You All!!!

Good evening, Gia Have to second Wendy's suggestion of the HOTEL FORUM..
It was the first one I thought of before
reading her reply. We ate there many
years ago, a very wonderful evening and
so was the hotel. Can't think why we
never returned there, tho we have been
back to Rome many times since.
Richard of La Grange Park, Il..
The first three that come to mind are the Hassler, La Pergola at the Cavalieri Hilton and the Forum.

None are inexpensive. I'd probably not enter the first two without a jacket. I don't know the Forum well enough to offer jacket/tie advice.

Forgot to mention. You ask for a "reasonable" rooftop restaurant in Rome. Presume you mean price? I really don't know of any rooftop restaurants anywhere with a commanding view that are reasonable. Certainly if I owned one of those rarities I'd price it just as high as the traffic would bear.

As far as I know, sport jackets are acceptable in most, if not all Rome restaurants. The rooftop restaurant at the Hotel Eden also has great views.

FYI the Hilton website has pictures of the view from La Pergola (considered by some to serve the best food in Rome).
