Why didn't you ask before you made the reservations?

Been to all of them and they're dumps. The Biasutti is now a whorehouse.

We stayed at the Cicerone in Rome last summer. My wife was unpacking her clothes into one of the dressers when she found a family of gypsies. They quickly surrounded her and tried to sell her flowers. When they left she discovered that her fanny-pack was gone!

Cicerone good "standard business class" hotel, though it may house more people in tour groups than business men.

Located across the river from the main part of the city, on the side where sits the Vatican ... though the location is definitely not near the Vatican.

Summary ... fairly decent hotel, inconvenient location for sightseeing and most recommendable restaurants. Unsure of transport convenience, though likely little direct service to where you want to go. Plan on bus connections or cabs.

twenj

Why do a Sheraton while in Europe? Do something European that will not look like the same place in Chicago. I am sure it is nice, but probably not with the ambiance of a small one owner place that you will remember.
