Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr
Hello,
We just found out that we will be in Istanbul during the end of Ramandan. We're trying to plan our itinerary and having difficulty finding information. Websites don't even seem to agree on dates that Ramadan ends. Sounds like some things might be closed or closing early on May 1st - May 3rd? Just wondering if anyone can give us examples of what things will be open/closed these days? Also, most tours on websites like Viator still seem available on these days. Is that probably correct or will they likely be canceled?
Thanks for any help anyone can offer.

- In major cities and touristic sites all museums are open There will also be quite a few restaurants open during ramadan and eid excep in very conservative mostly rural areas and small towns,
- all. Shops will open after the first day,
- supermarkets and grocry stores will never close
- public transport will be operating
- there will be heavy traffic leavin Istanbu th day befoe and fist day
- also on the last day of the holiday ab d day after
- this will.result in problems with places on intercity buses on those days.
