Rail pass or not?

Is it cheaper to buy a pass in U.S. or Canada or when I get to France? And is it more cost effective to buy a 4 day France pass than single tickets?

THanks

Try your itinerary at:
www.railsaver.com
Make sure you click the "only if it saves me money" button.

If a railpass is cheaper, you MUST buy it in north america.

As above, you must buy them before you travel. They are not available once you're in Europe. And it's simply a matter of math, depends how many individual trips you take and distance they cover vs. a pass for that same time period.

Hi Redd,

Since it is highly unlikely that the pass will save you money, you can buy your tickets online, if you wish, from SNCF (the French National Railway System) at
