Jealous of RR? Nope..just having fun goofing on her. I do roll my eyes at the Thirty Minute meals...yeah, if I had someone buy the groceries, prep the food, get all the cooking dishes out & ready (like the wonderful "garbage bowl&quot and then clean up afterward.

I ODd on Emeril. Alton Brown is interesting but a little professorial for me. Jamie is cute & I like his tiny kitchen (what's with that half fridge? Definitely wouldn't work in the U.S.) and the way he says to "thalt and peppuh" the meat)

Nigella is beautiful. Her face is so fantastic and her Rubenesque figure stirs my blood.

Sandra sure appears to be a product of modern medical technology. However, I'd go a few rounds with her any day. Aside from her two most obvious assets (someone said to me the other day "she really should wear a bra) how can you hate a woman who closes most shows with a kick-ass cocktail?

Gadia is also a major babe.

Not on Food Network but a truly gifted chef is Lidia Matticchio Bastianich.

MM, more importantly, is Lidia a babe too?

All ladies are babes! Actually Lidia is not a babe unless you are into the well-fed, apron-wearing Italian Mother type.

Hardly matters when one can cook like she can. The way to a man's ...

My favorite Food Network show is "Unwrapped" but I do watch $40 a Day sometimes. I don't have thoughts about Rachael either way, but am laughing at the people who've mentioned how irritating the perkiness is. I've been thinking that for years about someone I know, but most people seem to think it's cute. (Always trust a Fodorite!)

Scarlett - I never could get into Jamie Oliver either. He is doing some good though, trying to get school children to eat healthy instead of those horrible cafeteria lunches.

I just remembered something. Why does Rachel Ray have to carry all of her food items she is going to cook with to the counter in one trip. She wastes more time trying to balance everything.

Does anyone remember the Galloping Gourmet?

I like Anthony Bourdaine but was a little upset with parts of his episode on Paris. I didn't care for the segment where he drank some stuff that has psychedelic effects. Kind of like dropping acid.

I love Iron Chef America. They amaze me with their talent and originality. Of course that's how I cook every evening after 10 hours of working my you know what off at work

I love RR, Paula Deen and Samantha Brown.

And, I think RR and new hubby looked cute in the wedding picture.

(I'm with you, mgs98)

The Galloping Gourmet - Graham Kerr, right? I preferred his earlier (70's era?) shows before he went to more healthy cooking.

I like watching Jamie Oliver, but have never tried any of his recipes. I thought the episode where he cooked for an ABBA cover band was a hoot.

Chepar - That's right, Graham Kerr. Remember his 40 cloves of garlic chicken? He was so funny. One of the first "entertaining" chefs. Is he still alive? I haven't heard anything about him in a long time.

Has anyone watched the new cooking show from the winners of last year's Food Network contest? I can't remember their names but the show just started airing. Two guys. They were informative, had some good ideas but felt they were trying just a little too hard, but then they are new at this and I think with time will tone it down a notch.

Graham Kerr is alive and well. He lives here in the Puget Sound area near Seattle. Also, I remember watching his show as a kid with my mom in the late 60's. Should have known then that I was destined to be a Chef (actually a glorified line cook, but I think Chef sounds sooo much better!!)

From time to time, in the wee hours of the morning, you can catch repeats of his old show on The Food Network.

I always like Graham Kerr but he was never as funny later on when he got healthy. The reason he was so funny was he was loaded all the time. Then he got sober and healthy and wasn't nearly as entertaining, however, bless his heart, I'm glad he was able to get sober and hope he still is.

I saw something on TV about famous chefs over the years and Graham Kerr was on it. It said he had a heart attack so he had to change his ways in cooking.

Jamie Oliver I have a love hate with. His recipes are user friendly and he has started a revolution in the schools with the better food and no processsed turket twizzlers but he can get annoying. My partner is annoyed because we do not get school lunches for free in Ireland and its a great idea. I don't think they even serve hot food in most schools here.

Nigella is too ott for me. I think someone referred to her as food porn..she made some guacamole thing and ate it and then slapped it on her face for a facial mask. The camera jumps around too much on her show. I like her books though.

Delia I think is my favourite. Her how to cook series was fantastic...I know how to cook but I never knew how to boil an egg!

Along with EVOO, this is her calling card. Recently Food Network had a show 'searching' for the next TV personality. Part of the show was a visit by the contestents to the set of 30 minute meals.

They call it "The Big Carry" and her producers try very hard to come up with a carry which really challenges her. It's part of her routine.

Back to Sandra Lee.

She can be hired to speak at your company outting or convention. She is among those working with the Premire Speakers Bureau. Her fee for a Keynote address is $35,000.

Brains and cans! How can you hate it?

RR gets on my nerves, I have to admit. I think it's the laugh. I like Giada's show. I bought her book, and I use it (the recipes are simple enough for a novice like myself but are probably too easy for accomplished cooks). My one complaint about it is that there are too many pictures of her (in those low-cut tops) and not enough of the food.
