The trip to Berlin will take a bit less time than the one to Munich.
I love BOTH cities BUT if you want a combo of two cities which are vastly different and both satisfying then the Prague-berlin combo is definitely it.
You may find a great more to do in Berlin than in Munich and if you are willing to troop out to Postdam you can even get a couple of palaces in, too.
And yes, IMO, the beer is just as good in Berlin as it is in Munich LOL!

Are you talking about a day trip? If so, it is 5-6 hours for B & M, respectively. All you'll see is the train ride.
Or are you asking about which place to stay in as a second city for four nights?

Three full days in Berlin can be very productive depending on how fast you want to move and how much you want to see.
Checkpoint Charlie Museum, Ka-De-We, Reichstag, possibly Potsdam, Charlottenburg, the museum where the other half of all the stuff "saved" from Greece is on display, Potsdamer Platz, not to mention the wild nightlife (and no, I am not defining "wild" as drinking two beers LOL)

Hi, susannah -
Both cities are wonderful, so either option is good.
If it makes any difference, I think 3 or 4 days is perfect for Munich, but would be frustratingly short for Berlin.
Hope that helps!
