Oh! One more thing, when referring to regions vs. cities, you are IN a region, you are AT a city, para esempio:
Io sono a Milano (I am at Milan)
Io sono in Toscana (I am in Tuscany)
Ask me more, I wanna show off!
Io sono a Milano (I am at Milan)
Io sono in Toscana (I am in Tuscany)

The interesting this is that in some areas of Italy in the south..right now I am thinking of Molise..the older residents do use "la" in front of names including the names of people such as "la Anna".

Okay Annika, here's a question for you. Do the days of the week have a gender? I've just started a Begginer's Italian class and when my boyfriend asked me that question I didn't know what to tell him!
