Questions about Paris

Hello Everyone,
These forums sure helped me on my last trip, and I hope they help again for this one.
I am going to be staying in Paris for three days, and am considering renting an apartment at this address
Rue de La Michodière, 75002 Parigi, Parigi, Île-de-France, Francia

Is this a convenient location to attractions such as the Louve? What else is in the neighborhood? Is it a safe area?

I am interested in taking a day trip to Versailles, does the transport system have a website that I can look up train and route times?

Thanks again in advance!
Kris

This location is in the 2nd arrondissement, the heart of Paris. Le Louvre is located very nearby in the 1st arrondissement.

This area is as safe as any with easy access to virtually all of Paris.

The transportation system does indeed have a website:

www.ratp.com

For information about Versailles:

The commuter train (RER C) to Versailles Rive Gauche runs every 5-15 minutes, so a timetable isn't necessary. This line shares numerous stations with the Métro network.

That address is in the center of Paris, so you will experience no transportation complications and will be within easy walking distance of lots of attractions.

Your postal code address -- 75002 -- tells us that you will be in the 2nd arrondissement -- the number "2" tells us that. So, in case you see another Paris address, just look at the final numbers. For example, 75011 tells us that you be in the eleventh arr.
