Puglia Itinery...seem ok?
Ok so this is our rough skeletin plan for what to see and do in out two
week trip to Puglia. We basically want to plan outline days location wise
but then decide when we are there when to do which (apart from Matera which
is fixed).
Hoping to get some feedback over any obvious places weve missed/ ones you
would avoid. Also whether there are particular good/bad days for places.
Our villa is between Monopoli and Fasano, wo realise a few of these places
are big drives. But Matera we sre staying over night which will ease things
a little.
About us...foodies!!!! not really museum type...like nothing more than to
just stroll around anjoying the atmosphere and feel of places. Not sporty
as such but reasonably fit
We will spend most evenings in the villa for dinner, with a couple having
meals prepared by the owner but want to make use of lunch times for gormet
feats!- but actually quite relaxed meals
13 full days (Arrive Sat evening-Leave Sat morning)
3 rest villa days- lunch maybe somewhere within 30 hour drive (any
restaurant in surrounds would also be useful?
10 sigtseeing days
Aerobella/Locorontodo
Pogliano a mare
Ostuni
Monopoli/ Castelette Grotte
Matera (day + overnight stay)
Matera for breakfast-Martina Franca lunch/afternoon
Otranto
Lecce
Gallipoli
Trani (lunch in Montegrosso-Trattoria Antichi Sapori )
Any thoughts/ memorable meals in these places?
