It must be fun to have friends in the area to enjoy your last day with. My DH would have enjoyed the 'unusually high' waves.

We, and our local friends, were quite surprised by the waves. On other trips there were more like ripples. Our friends lived next to us here at home for one year while neighbors were on sabbatical, and it's been wonderful to see them in France and be a part of their culture.
