Provence Restaurants
We will be staying in St. Remy for about 4 days. Can anyone recommend some restaurants for dinner that wouldn't be too far? We will have a car so getting around won't be a problem. We plan on touring the countryside during the daytime so any recommendations for lunch, say within a one hour, drive would be much appreciated. In essence, we plan to eat our way through Provence.

Read a copy of the recent BON APPETIT ( the one with Provence on the cover.) It features many restaurant reviews from the most elegant to the more homey spots throughout Provence. The issue is a wealth of information on Provence and I am sure it will help you out.

Bennett, This is my second attempt to post this, so you may get it more than once.

Read a copy of this month's BON APPETIT ( the one with Provence on the cover.) Bennett: I don't know if Avignon falls within your distance parameters or not, but I hope you get to try Hiely-Lucullus on the rue de la Republique there. Though it's been a while since one of my repeat experiences there I'll never forget it. Just superb. Bon appetit!
Joan

We had a wonderful dinner (but expensive) at the Oustau de Baumaniere in Les Baux de Provence. This is one among the best restaurants in France and we do not regret the expense!
Another good (and cheaper) address is La Table du Meunier in Fontvieille.
