As long as we are talking McDonalds - we had a Southern Style chicken sandwich (which is a large whole chicken breast), fries or salad and beer. You can have the chicken breast sandwich, salad and milk at McDonalds and that should healthy food. The price compared to eating at McDonalds or dining in a fine restaurant with tip and all is no comparison. When you travel with a family, it could make a big difference in your budget.
I just have to pay for myself so it isn't such a big deal, however, I like McDonalds southern style chicken sandwich. And after a week or so traveling I start to crave McDonalds fries and also Mexican food.

God, why would anyone even want a refill on a soda? Even if you drink them (I don't - find them disgusting and useless as a food group), why would you need more than one?

calm down st cirq. perhaps a bit of perspective is in order here. you could argue that coffee and tea are completely useless as a 'food group' also. and 'disgusting' is clearly a matter of taste...with many people finding some or all coffee and tea disgusting also. despite some spurious health claims, alcoholic drinks would fall into this category also...with 'harmful' probably being more accurate than 'useless'. 'god' how closed minded you are to try to assert that your taste is superior.
but best of luck with your crusade...coke, pepsi, etc are huge just about everywhere in the world. as is coffee, tea, and alcoholic drinks. 'useful food group drinks' account for a very small % of the world's drinks. maybe you could help us ignorant people by telling us what these 'useful food group drinks' are...orange juice? 'healing' chinese medicinal teas? spinach and watercress smoothies?
