We are back at the apartment before heading out to dinner. Finally got in to the Orangerie and saw the Monet water lilies. I guess I thought that museum was bigger - didn't take too long to take it in. We have been all over Paris today. We got tickets on the batobus and went from the eiffel tower again to Notre Dame again and walked everything in between! I'm sad to think about packing and sitting at the airport tomorrow. We have a 4 hour layover in Detroit! What a pain. But another gorgeous weather day. Hope we didn't use up all the nice weather this week for thos of you coming next! We did see a fight today outside of St. Gervais. It really scared me. This older guy was screaming at a younger guy and then they starting hitting on each other and this younger guy stepped in and broke them up. We got out of there! I can't believe how much more crowded it is on this Saturday than it was last Saturday. The area around Notre Dame had at least 5 times the people it did last week. It's crazy out there right now! But we are heading out for one last meal and one last gelatto

I really enjoyed reading your daily reports – I love your enthusiasm! I will be in Paris in 33 days (not that I am counting) and I hope I will also be able to enjoy some sunny weather. Looking forward to your trip report. Thanks for posting.

kerouac - it was amazing to have the perfect weather for our week. We are having thunderstorms and wind here right now as well. Also having some jet lag - oh, the joys of coming home. Back to work tomorrow. roadlesstraveled - maybe in 33 days there will be another stretch of lovely weather. There should be more flowers and leaves by then - of course, probably more tourists too! We were lucky to not have to stand in line very often. I was amazed when I was able to walk right up to the Mona Lisa without having to wait in line. The only line we really had was at the d'Orsay.

patti,
it was just wonderful to 'spend' every day with you in paris.
you made it all come alive and now i can't wait to see it myself.
i will not have internet access in my apt. and dd does not want to take the laptop as college letters come out the week we are in paris and she does not want to chance having a bad trip from disappointment.
thanks for all the tips on taking care of sore feet, ankles, calves......i know i will need it.
it is also nice to know that you were able to lose 4 lbs in spite of all the pastries. it will make me feel less guilty as i gorge on the pastries, bread, cheese and wine!!!
you really lucked out with great weather. it looks like gomiki will have some rain this week and there is some for me next week as well.
o well, as long as i am in paris, i don't care about the weather. - well, not so much anyway.
now, back to some more obsessing as i continue planning and packing!!
