Thinking of a daytrip here from London. Is it worth it? Anybody been there and have comments? Thanks

Portsmith is a great daytrip from London. When you get there, arrange your appointment to visit Nelson's Victory, then wander the rest of the musuem. If you're a military history buff at all, you see a lot and learn a lot. The harbor tour is worth the time and the train ride from London goes through some pretty countryside. There are also trips out to the Isle of Wight from Portsmouth Harbor. We wished we'd had the time to do that, too.

Portsmith or Portsmouth? Portmouth is where the Victory is located. If in fact you are going to Portsmouth be sure to get off at the harbor station and not the main station.

Not only is HMS Victory there but also Henry VIII's Mary Rose salvaged in the 1980's from her capsizing in the 1500's when setting sail. Woderful day trip.

Portsmouth rather than portsmith - makes sense if you understand English (Port's mouth)
