Polyforum Users...how many of you are there?

Occassionally it occurs to me to visit the US forum or tap into what's happening in other forums here, but I find that I am pretty exclusive to this european bunch and find this place to be like my internet home base...my peeps, my homies. How many of you visit or even, heaven forbid, post in the other fodor forums?

I've posted in the US forum when there are comments/queries about New York or Boston, and I've also visited the Caribbean forum, but I mostly stay on this one here.

I usually post in Europe or the U.S. But just for yuks, I sometimes hop over to the Cruise forum. There's a genuine Fodors bare-knuckles brawl going on over there. The issue: Does Carnival Cruise Lines bite? Stay tuned.

I've posted occasionally in several other forums, and I'm paying careful attention these days to the Latin America forum because I'm leaving in a week for Mexico City & Costa Rica (business trip). But I definitely like this forum best!

I'm an American living in Shanghai, so I always check the Asia forum first, to see if there are any new questions that I can answer. Then I check in here just for the fun of it. Since I'm in a different time zone, there are rarely questions on this forum that I can answer that don't already have an answer from someone else, so I typically only end up answering posts like this one!

I've used the US forum for a recent trip to Chicago and an upcoming one to Maine. Both are widely visited places, so there's lots of info. I've also answered questions about California, where I live. The sniping on that forum gets old though.

I've been disappointed in the Latin America and Australia forums-- there are so many fewer participants! And in both cases my interest was a little out of the mainstream, so it was hopeless. We should feel very privileged that in the Europe crowd there are so many diverse interests. I don't think there's anywhere I could wonder about that someone doesn't have knowledge of.

I often post on the US forum, most often responding to questions about NY. Interestingly, the two forums have totally different personalities.

I visit daily and post very occasionally in:
European
US
African

When I was planning to go to the Caribbean I went there regularly and if I was going to Asia then you would catch me there too.

Am I just too promiscuous?

I consider this my home forum. I do visit the US one to help with Atlanta questions, and I lurk on the NY questions, because that's where I was born and raised.

When there isn't too much movement here I will go to the Africa or Asia forums, just to learn some things, and imagine what it would be like traveling there!

But I do find the personalities and questions/answers posted here and the most entertaining, witty, and fun.

I come here to answer any questions I can, as I'm English. I also hang out on the Asia one from time to time as that is where my last two major holidays have been, and where my next one will be too. This one's much more fun, though, with much more going on, so I spend much more time here.

Quelle Horreur! On the US forum right now they are discussing where in the country one finds the most attractive people. And no one's joking!

I'll stay right here, merci beaucoup.

I check out the US forum, nearly as much as this one. I respond to questions on L.A./Hollywood, or ask questions about Vegas etc. I have visited the Australian forum once... but since I've only been to Australia once, I didn't have a lot to offer and it was pretty slow moving, comparitively speaking... I went to the Africa Middle eastern forum one time when we were considering taking a safari, but someone posted THE most horrible...obscene, racial...filth, that I kind of got discouraged... it was so foul that emailed Fodor's and they removed it... but I am still harboring the idea of Safari... maybe a 10th year anniversary gift to ourselves.

I post on the U.S. forum but mainly only answer questions about California, where we live. I've answered questions about Italy and England here and have gotten good advice about France and Ireland. Some of the U.S. topics are real garbage.

I post here and in the U.S., Caribbean, Latin America, and occasionally the Canada forum. I also visit the Asia, Africa, and Australia/South Pacific ones occasionally, Cruises rarely, and the others, pretty much never.

I posted once on the Hawaii forum and was very disappointed. I only got one answer to my question. When I post a question on this forum, there are always several, very good responses. The people that post to the Alaska forum provide very good information, but I don't think it is used very much. I think this is the most active Fodor's Forum (and the best).

I check this forum and the US forum daily. I answer questions about San Diego and Southern California, where I live, Maui and Scotland, where I come from originally. Occasionally I visit the Australia forum, because I really want to go there, but that will have to wait until my son's out of high school. There just isn't any time with all his sports for a long trip anywhere. All three have quite different personalities.

Marsha: There are no separate Hawaii or Alaska forums. They are both part of the United States forum. If you have a question about Hawaii, always do a search (of the US forum) first. There are many, many questions relating to Hawaii, and a lot of people get tired of answering the same question repeatedly.

I check and/or post to the US forum (New Orleans is my home), Latin America, Asia, and this forum. Europe is definitely the most active, but I sometimes find the posters condescending and judgmental - although things seemed ot have improved a bit lately. US travel doesn't excite me much, but I like to help steer New Orleans tourists off of Bourbon Street and Jackson Square. The Asia forum is slow moving but has a lot of interesting info. Asia is probably my favorite place to travel. I've only been on two short Latin America trips, so I don't have a lot to offer - or a lot of questions to post.
