Plitvice Lakes Accommodation

We will be in Croatia for 2 weeks in June/July and have made all our reservations except for Plitvice Lakes. I have e-mailed and faxed them with our reservation request. They have not replied to anything I've sent.

Does anyone have a tip as to how they got reservations at the Parks Hotels? Are there any recommeneded Sobes you have stayed at, with contact information?

Thanks so much.

Images,
We booked several months ago, and only Bellevue had romms available for Sept.

Do a google search for private accommodation / apartment for rent in Plitivce, there are quite a few. Good luck!

Maybe that's my problem. I asked about the other two hotels, not the Bellvue. It would be nice if they would reply though. Someone on Rick Steve's board wasn't to happy with the sobe they stayed in, but it may be our only option. We don't want to miss the Lakes!

We just received a fax from Plitvice Lakes National Park, after several days of waiting. This was our 2nd attempt faxing them. All emails were returned or not responded to. The fax is very official, with their stamp on it. We now have a reservation at Hotel Jezero. They chose the hotel for us! The rate is 58€ per person, per night, including breakfast. Payment is on the spot, cash or credit card and the reservation is valid till 6 pm on the arrival date.

The price is high for the area, but I'm thrilled to get it! I guess it can be done.

I will be staying at the Jezero in Sept. It came very highly recommended. I'd love to hear how you liked it.

I will post a review of our trip when we return in mid July! We have a 3 week trip planned, Budapest, then Croatia. There are several reviews of the hotel on Trip Advisor. People seem fine with it, except for the lack of a/c. It is right next to where the tram picks you up for transportation into the park so that's wonderful, and it looks like most rooms have a balcony!
