5 days is not a lot. I would highly recommend Marrakech and Fes. I didn't stay in either hotel but the best hotels there are La Moumounia (Marrakech, has an illustrious past but is a bit faded I think from my visit to the casino and bar) and the Palais Jamai (Fes). Casablanca is much less exciting than you would think. Our highlight was a trip to the desert south of Zagora--really cool, we slept in tents and rode camels in the morning. I am not sure if this is the level of luxury I would personally look for in a honeymoon, but it was really fun for our group--and the stars were amazing!

QM is right; five days is not a lot. The two hotels mentioned are very high-end (like Palm Springs or Palm Beach resorts). If you're looking for 'good' hotels (versus the Ritz), there are many all over Morocco, and very inexpensive ($30 for a double room, breakfast included). We spent two weeks in Morocco, and we did the camel trek into the desert...very, very cool. Our favorite spots were: Volubilis, a Roman city outside of Meknes (it's near Fez); Chefchaouen (mountain village in the north with whitewashed buildings and blue or green doors/shutters - like the Greek islands); and Marrakech. The medina in Fez was - um - overwhelming; enjoyable isn't the word, educational/enlightening is more like it. If you are adventuresome, then you'll have a wonderful time tromping around. If you are more comfortable at Club Med, then stay at one of the resorts and enjoy the desert vistas and sun (which are pretty spectacular). Email me if you'd like more details (it was probably the most wonderful trip of our lives)...

http://www.imilchil-travel.com/index.htm <BR>These are the folks we used to take the desert trek. Joanne and her husband Mohamed (who is a Berber) do a wonderful job; they'll arrange a personal tour, or hook you up with a tour they've already set up. We loved the country, and the desert trek was something I will never forget...
